Jai Lava Kusa : Review
Story
Lava Kumar (NTR), manager of Needs Bank lands in trouble and is about to lose his job because of his innocence and honesty. With these tensions he mets with an accident and to his surprise discovers his lost brother Kusa (NTR), a little thief who is on a mission to fly to the USA to steal in dollars. Kusa promises Lava to solve his problems but instead tries to plunder the bank.
However, both will be in a clash of Jai (NTR), his other brother, who is feared as Ravana in Berhmapur, Odisha. To learn more about sibling rivalry and where this will lead to, enjoy Jai Lava Kusa on the silver screen.
Actions
NTR as usual slid into the characters. NTR who is a born actor showed his acting power in the negative role as Jai. He should be praised for accepting the negative role with stuttering that many refuse to do. He arrived with powerful expressions and emotions in the negative role of Jai. He surprises with his body language like Jai.
Compared to Jai, two other characters are less intentional and emotional. NTR through Lava and Kusa tried to give entertainment to film lovers. He with his comedy of time and expressions as Kusa filled the paper with energy. It showed good variations like Lava, personage full of innocence.
He tried different movements in dances that brought variations to excite his fans and film lovers. He promulgated fights with ease and generally gave sumptuous treat all his fans in three different roles.
Rashi Khanna attracted with his eyes on the film. Niveda Thomas attracted himself with his beautiful appearances and Nanditha appeared in a scene. However, all heroines obtained very limited roles and no chance to demonstrate their talent. Tamanna joked in a special song. Hamsa Nandini gave herself to a beauty treatment. Ronit Roy is fine in the negative role. Posani Krishna Murali, Abhimanyu Singh, Priyadarshi performed according to his roles.
Scrutiny
Bobby, who was drawn to Power, despite getting shock with Sardar Gabbar Singh from Power Star Pawan Kalyan, managed to impress NTR with Jai Lava Kusa. Bobby tried to show NTR never seen before three different roles in the movie. To some extent he came out successful as he showed NTR in the completely negative role to amaze everyone.
However, in his quest to raise the negative angle on Jai, he lost his focus on Lava and Kusa roles and both looked more or less alike. At the same time, it failed with its history, script and direction. The story of the film seemed routine without any real twists and turns.
From beginning to end, it seemed predictable and the first half begins at a slow pace and except for a few entertaining scenes between Lava and Kusa, there is almost nothing in it. Interest only increases during the bang interval with the introduction of Jai.
Jai steals the show throughout the second half. However after some time, all the scenes become repetitive tests of the patience of the lovers of the cinema. Bobby was not able to emphasize the bond between the brothers in a convincing way and also did not elevate the different roles of NTR. Bobby tries to cover up these drawbacks with commercial elements like the Tamanna song that only had a limited effect. However, for all the inconveniences, NTR with its powerful performance, erased them and triggered the film on their shoulders.
