Reason Behind Why Sharukh Khan Isn't a Acadamy Award Member : Reveals By Oscars Team

An important international media portal recently reported that Salman Khan, Aishwarya Rai and a few others have received an invitation from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences to become members.

The other Bollywood biggies that have extended an invitation include Amitabh Bachchan, Aamir Khan, Iran Khan, Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra.

While these famous Bollywood stars received special invitations from the most prestigious awards at the global entertainment forum, Bollywood's Baadshah Shah Rukh Khan surprisingly did not receive an invitation.

Despite being a record number of 774 invitations, the Oscars panel did not somehow consider Shah Rukh as a global icon. "The basic requirement is that a candidate must have demonstrated exceptional achievements in the field of motion pictures," the Academy said.

Fans of social media platforms were infuriated by this statement from the Academy Awards and said that if Deepika Padukone could be invited, why Shah Rukh's achievements can not be considered as a criterion to be a member of the Prize of The academy?
