I would love to see Deepika as P.V. Sindhu in my movie : Sonu Sood
After producing "Tutak Tutak Tutiya", Sonu Sood is busy working on his next production - a biopic on the badminton player P.V. Sindhu and says he would love to see Deepika Padukone portraying the character.
Sindhu became the first Indian woman to win an Olympic silver medal in 2016.
"I would love to see Deepika playing Sindhu's character in my movie. She's a good actress. We're still in the script stage. If the part is offered to her and she likes the script and the director, and has time for it She will surely give you her assent.
"After finishing the script, I would like to approach her for this role because when you become a producer, it becomes a great responsibility to present a strong script in front of the actors," said Sonu at the age of 20. Of the film "Border".
Deepika is the daughter of badminton player Ace Prakash Padukone and herself has been a national badminton player in her school days. But Deepika is totally invested in "Padmavati" from now on.
Sonu and Deepika have previously worked together on "Happy New Year".
Commenting on the progress of the biopic Sindhu, Sonu said: "We are in continuous contact with PV Sindhu and their families. Another film about badminton player Saina Nehwal is in the works with actress Shraddha Kapoor playing the lead role.
